Garden Patio Walkway | Sevenoaks
- Location: Sevenoaks
- Project: Garden Patio Walkway
- Duration: 2 days
Project Overview
We recently completed this stunning new garden pathway and patio area in Sevenoaks, giving the entrance a fresh, elegant look with high-quality materials and expert craftsmanship.
The client requested a stylish yet practical paved walkway to complement their existing driveway and landscaped garden. We opted for 45×45 Riven Buff slabs for their warm, natural tones and textured surface, which blend beautifully with the surroundings. To add definition and a premium finish, we installed a single Brindle block paving border along both sides of the path.

Before: The garden’s main walkway was outdated and beginning to show its age. The slabs were worn, uneven, and lacked definition, while the edges blended into the surrounding gravel without a clear border. The tired appearance detracted from the otherwise beautiful landscaping and gave the entrance a less refined look.
After: The walkway has been completely revitalised with elegant 45×45 Riven Buff slabs, framed on both sides by a single Brindle block paving border. The crisp lines, warm tones, and textured surface create a stylish and inviting pathway that perfectly complements the surrounding gardens. The new design not only enhances the property’s visual appeal but also provides a durable, even surface for years of use.
Construction Process
Site Preparation
The original pathway was carefully lifted and removed.
The ground was excavated to the correct depth, ensuring a stable foundation.
All debris was cleared to create a clean working area.
Base Installation
A solid MOT Type 1 hardcore base was laid and compacted for long-lasting durability.
A sharp sand bed was prepared and levelled to precise measurements.
Border Setting
A single line of Brindle block paving was installed on both sides, perfectly aligned to frame the pathway.
Each block was set in concrete for a secure, permanent edge.
Slab Laying
45×45 Riven Buff slabs were laid in a neat and consistent pattern.
Joints were evenly spaced for a uniform look.
Finishing Touches
All joints were filled with kiln-dried sand to lock everything in place.
The area was swept, cleaned, and inspected to ensure a flawless finish.
Final Result
The finished pathway is not only functional but also a stylish focal point leading up to the property. The Buff slabs brighten the space, while the Brindle border adds contrast and structure. Built to withstand years of use, this new pathway is a perfect combination of beauty and durability.
