This Dartford project involved a full replacement of an ageing flat roof, including new structural decking and a modern torch-on felt system to ensure a long-lasting, weatherproof finish.
The existing roof had deteriorated over time, so we stripped everything back and rebuilt the system from the joists up, creating a solid, reliable structure ready for years of use.
The Work Carried Out
Strip Out & Preparation
The existing flat roof covering was fully removed, exposing the timber structure beneath. This allowed us to assess the condition of the joists and prepare the area for a complete rebuild.
New Roof Deck Installation
Fresh OSB boarding was installed across the entire roof area, creating a strong, level base for the new roofing system. This stage is essential for ensuring a smooth, durable finish.
Felt System Installation
A high-performance torch-on felt system was applied across the roof. This included multiple layers to provide maximum protection against water ingress and improve overall lifespan.
Edge Detailing & Finishing
All edges and upstands were carefully sealed and finished to ensure a watertight result. Attention was given to drainage and run-off to prevent future pooling or water issues.

The completed flat roof has completely transformed the structure, replacing the worn-out surface with a clean, modern, and fully weatherproof system.
