We recently completed a full garage renovation in Canterbury, Kent, transforming an older garage into a clean, insulated and fully finished space suitable for a much wider range of uses.
The project involved upgrading virtually every part of the garage, including the roof, insulation, internal walls and ceiling, electrics, lighting, flooring, front doors and exterior PVC finishes.
Rather than simply improving the appearance of the existing garage, the work was designed to create a much more comfortable, practical and modern interior.
Before:
Before work began, the garage was an older, basic space requiring substantial modernisation. The existing roof and interior finishes needed upgrading, while the garage lacked the insulation, flooring and finished appearance required to make it a comfortable usable room.
After:
The completed garage is almost unrecognisable. It now benefits from insulated and plasterboarded walls and ceilings, new electrics and lighting, new laminate flooring, new glazed front doors, a new roof and new PVC finishes.
The result is a bright, clean and modern space that offers the homeowner far greater flexibility than the original garage.
Complete Garage Renovation
The existing garage required extensive improvement internally and externally. We stripped the necessary areas back to allow the structure to be properly upgraded before completing the new interior.
The walls and ceiling were fitted with new insulation and plasterboard, helping to create a warmer and better-finished room. Once boarded, the interior was finished to provide smooth, bright walls and ceilings throughout.
A complete electrical upgrade was also incorporated into the renovation, including new electrical points and modern lighting, making the space considerably more practical for everyday use.
New Garage Roof & PVC Finishes
As part of the renovation, we also carried out work to the existing flat roof.
The old roof covering was removed and a new roof system installed, providing improved weather protection for the newly renovated interior. New PVC finishing and trims were also fitted externally, creating a much cleaner appearance while helping to protect the roof edges.
New Front Doors
One of the biggest changes was the installation of new glazed front doors.
The new white doors provide a considerably more modern entrance to the garage while allowing plenty of natural light into the renovated space. Combined with the bright interior, they help make the former garage feel much more like an additional room.
New Laminate Flooring & Interior Finish
Once the structural and electrical work was completed, we installed new grey laminate flooring throughout the garage.
White skirting boards, freshly finished walls and the new flooring provide a clean contemporary appearance, completing the transformation from an unfinished garage into a smart and usable interior.
