Our team recently completed this stunning Indian sandstone patio installation in Dartford, replacing an old, worn and uneven paved area with a fresh, natural stone patio that completely transforms the garden.
The existing patio had seen better days, with ageing paving slabs, weather staining and an uneven surface that no longer complemented the surrounding garden. The homeowner wanted a more attractive, durable and low-maintenance outdoor space that would provide a seamless connection between the property and the lawn.

The Project
We began by carefully removing the old patio and excavating the area to the required depth. Once cleared, the ground was prepared with a solid sub-base to provide a stable foundation and ensure the new patio would remain level and durable for years to come.
A full mortar bed was then installed before laying premium Indian sandstone paving in a mixed-size pattern. The natural colour variations within the stone create a timeless appearance that perfectly complements the property’s brickwork and existing garden features.
The curved design of the patio follows the existing retaining wall, helping to maximise the available space while creating a soft, flowing finish. We also installed a new step leading from the patio doors to provide safe and easy access into the garden.
The Finished Result
