Towergate Builders & Developers recently completed this extensive garden transformation in New Romney, Kent, turning an overgrown and unusable outdoor space into a practical, low-maintenance garden centred around a stunning Camel Dust Indian Sandstone patio.
The property’s garden had become heavily overgrown with mature vegetation, shrubs, invasive plants and small trees, making much of the space inaccessible. Our team carried out extensive site clearance before creating a completely new landscape that the homeowners can enjoy throughout the year.

The garden had become heavily overgrown with dense vegetation, mature shrubs and unwanted trees, leaving much of the outdoor space unusable. The existing patio area was dated and the garden lacked structure, making it difficult to maintain or enjoy.
After:
The property now benefits from a stunning Camel Dust Indian Sandstone patio and a fully transformed garden. Extensive clearance, tree removal, a geotextile membrane system and 24 tonnes of fresh topsoil have created a clean, level outdoor space that’s attractive, practical and ready for new landscaping.
Complete Garden Clearance & Preparation
The first stage involved a full garden clearance using specialist machinery. Dense vegetation, overgrown shrubs and unwanted trees were carefully removed, with tree surgery carried out where required to safely clear the site.
Following the clearance works, we excavated and prepared the entire garden before installing a professional geotextile porous membrane system to help suppress weeds while maintaining natural drainage throughout the area.
To complete the groundwork, approximately 24 tonnes of quality topsoil were imported and spread across the garden, creating a level, fertile base ready for turfing or future landscaping.
Premium Camel Dust Indian Sandstone Patio
A large new patio was installed using premium Camel Dust Indian Sandstone, chosen for its warm natural colouring and attractive variation in tone. The paving creates an elegant outdoor entertaining area that complements the property perfectly while providing a durable, slip-resistant surface suitable for year-round use.
Each slab was carefully laid on a solid foundation with consistent jointing to ensure a professional finish built to last.
The Finished Result
The transformation has completely changed the appearance and functionality of the garden. What was once an overgrown and neglected outdoor space is now a clean, spacious garden featuring a beautiful natural stone patio and freshly prepared grounds ready for planting or lawn installation.
The new layout provides significantly more usable outdoor space while creating an attractive, low-maintenance garden that will continue to improve as the landscaping matures.
