Towergate Builders & Developers recently completed this resin bound patio installation in Dover, Kent, transforming a tired and uneven courtyard into a clean, modern outdoor space with a durable, low-maintenance finish.
The existing patio had reached the end of its lifespan and required complete removal before a new resin bound system could be installed. The customer wanted a seamless surface that would complement the character of the property while providing excellent drainage and long-lasting performance.

Removing the Existing Patio
Work began by breaking out and removing the old patio surface before excavating and preparing the area for its new installation. The ground was carefully levelled and a new solid sub-base was constructed to provide the perfect foundation for the resin bound system.
Attention was paid to maintaining the correct falls towards the existing drainage channel, ensuring effective surface water drainage once the patio was complete.
Resin Bound Installation
Once the base had been fully prepared, our team installed a premium resin bound surface using a warm golden aggregate blend that perfectly complements the surrounding brickwork and period features of the property.
The resin and aggregate were thoroughly mixed before being hand trowelled to create a perfectly smooth, seamless finish. Every edge and detail around the walls, drainage channel and access points was carefully finished to the highest standard.
